Phillip McLellan

Phillip McLellan is a Petoskey native whose lifelong connection to the arts began through the Petoskey Public Schools, Bay View Music Festival, and Little Traverse Civic Theatre. Growing up immersed in Northern Michigan’s artistic community fostered a deep appreciation for the role the arts play in education, personal development, and community connection.

Phillip studied Musical Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University and has remained actively involved in the performing arts throughout his adult life. His experience spans performance, directing, music leadership, education, and community engagement. He has directed musicals for Harbor Springs Public Schools, previously served as choir director for Petoskey United Methodist Church, and taught ballet through the Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet. In addition to his educational and leadership experience, Phillip continues to work professionally as a pianist and vocalist throughout the region and currently sings with The Noteables, a local chamber choir.

With a strong belief in accessible, community-centered arts programming, Phillip is passionate about supporting organizations that create meaningful artistic opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. His connection to Little Traverse Civic Theatre comes full circle through both his early involvement as a young performer and his continued commitment to strengthening the arts in Northern Michigan.
