Annual Membership Meeting

Little Traverse Civic Theatre held its Annual Membership Meeting, opened by President Amber Lewis. Executive Director Bob Brill highlighted a landmark 80th season that included Theatre for Everyone's fall children's production, a wildly popular Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast at three venues, Dean's List Improv, and a record-breaking run of Annie — the best-selling LTCT show in over a decade. The season was supported by a renewed and increased MACC grant, a generous anonymous donation, and a grant from the Kroeger-Mainland Family Fund.

Looking ahead to the 2026–2027 season, Theatre for Everyone will host two summer camps culminating in a production of Frog and Toad in August, with a fall show to be announced. Rocky Horror shadow cast performances will continue at multiple venues, and an Improv show and/or Black Box production are being explored. Next spring will bring Dean Tahtinen's direction of Dog Sees God, and summer 2027 is slated for a T4E production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

The meeting also marked a leadership milestone with the introduction of incoming Executive Director Phillip McClellan, who will assume the role on September 1st following a transition period with outgoing ED Bob Brill.

Volunteer awards were presented in celebration of outstanding contributions this season. Egg Awards were given to Lisa Christin and the Front-of-House Committee for their exceptional work creating LTCT's new usher system and costumes during Annie, and to the family of Jason Forward for their extraordinary effort on the Annie set. Bob Brill received the Pig Award in recognition of his 10+ years of dedicated service to LTCT in virtually every capacity. A new award category — the BOB (Best of the Board) — was introduced by Lisa Christin and Sally Crowley, with its inaugural honor going to both Bob Brill and Amber Lewis.

Three new Board members were elected to three-year terms: Angelo Santini, Dean Tahtinen, and Loriel Grigsby. Following a brief closed session, the Board announced its 2026–2027 officers: President Dave Heinz, Vice-President Sally Crowley, Secretary Janet Kohler, and Treasurer Loriel Grigsby.

The meeting closed with Bob Brill reaffirming his continued involvement with LTCT and encouraging the membership to keep supporting and participating in the organization's exciting future.
